We are pleased to announce that the Professional Programme Committee has completed its evaluation of the submitted proposals. We have now sent notification emails confirming acceptance or rejection to all applicants. If you submitted a proposal, please check your inbox (and your spam or junk folder just in case) for your result.
This year, we received 1,361 proposals from 106 countries, reflecting the truly global interest in archival science and records management. Of these, 457 proposals have been accepted, representing contributors from 97 countries. By language, 244 of the accepted proposals were in English (53%), 114 in Spanish (25%), 63 in Catalan (14%), and 36 in French (8%).
The selected proposals span five conference categories: paper presentations, co-lab sessions, lightning talks, panel discussion, and posters. This diverse range of formats showcases the richness and variety of perspectives within the field of archival science.
We sincerely thank everyone who submitted a proposal for the ICA Barcelona Congress 2025. To those whose proposals were not selected on this occasion, we warmly encourage you to register as participants. You will not want to miss the dynamic discussions and valuable networking opportunities this international event will offer.
