Registration

What are the payment options for registration?

You may pay by credit card, bank transfer, or PayPal. Full details regarding payment methods will be included on the registration form, which will be available from mid-May.

Where can I find the classification of countries by economic development?

The classification of countries by level of economic development, used to determine eligibility for special rates, are published on the registration page of the official ICA Barcelona 2025 Congress website. This classification follows the 2024 United Nations World Economic Situation and Prospects report.

How do I know if I am eligible for a reduced rate?

Discounted rates are available for ICA members, students, retirees, and confirmed speakers. Full details can be found on the registration page of the official Congress website, where you can determine the category that best applies to you.

What are the benefits of ICA membership?

As an ICA member, you are entitled to reduced registration fees, priority access to special events, exclusive networking opportunities, and continued professional development through specialist seminars and resources.

Visa

Who requires a visa to attend the Congress, and how can I apply?

Visa requirements vary depending on nationality. We recommend consulting the official website of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for up-to-date guidance relevant to your country of residence.

Accommodation

Will the Congress organisers recommend accommodation?

Yes, a list of recommended hotels and other accommodation options near the CCIB, including special attendee rates, will be published shortly in the accommodation section of the official Congress website.


Accepted Papers and Professional Programme

Can I update or add co-author names to my proposal?

Yes, additional authors may be added. However, any authors whose CVs were submitted and reviewed during the original selection process must remain listed. At least one of the original authors must register to ensure the proposal’s inclusion in the final programme.

Can I apply for a speaker grant? Do I need to be an ICA member?

Yes, speaker grants are available, but only to current ICA members in good standing.

Will I need to submit additional documentation if my proposal is accepted?

Yes. All selected applicants will be contacted by the Programme Committee to provide updated CVs and biographies within a set timeframe. Further details will be provided in due course.

When will the official programme be announced?

The full programme is expected to be released by the end of June 2025.

Where can I find the full Congress programme?

Once available, the full Congress programme will be published in the designated section of the official website.
