On Thursday, March 13, the iconic Palau Moja became the setting for a pivotal strategic meeting between the ICA team and representatives the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Barcelona City Council, the Barcelona Provincial Council, from the Ministry of Culture of the Spanish Government, and the Association of Archives and Records Management Professionals of Catalonia. This high-level meeting focused on finalising essential elements of the Congress agenda. Discussions covered session-space management, live interpreting services, and other key operational components that will ensure a seamless experience for participants.
The team also reviewed plans for Day One of the Congress, including the Opening Ceremony and preparations for the ICA General Assembly. Technical proposals for the opening and additional activities were evaluated, along with potential side events to enrich the congress experience.
Other core topics included sponsorship updates, administrative coordination, and the development of a comprehensive communication and outreach strategy. Attendees also reviewed the proposed social programme for participants and explored opportunities for professional visits to archival institutions across Catalonia.
