Presided over by Sònia Hernández, Director General of Cultural Heritage, representatives of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat, Barcelona City Council, the Provincial Council of Barcelona and the Professional Association of Archives and Document Management of Catalonia, meet at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the Generalitat of Catalonia to monitor the organization of the Barcelona 2025 International Archives Congress.
During the meeting, several topics were discussed, such as the state of processing of the collaboration agreement and organization of the Congress and the tender for the contract of the professional company organizing Congresses. In addition, the final distribution of the spaces of the Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB), the final model of governance and composition of the Committees, has been confirmed. In terms of communication, the new congress website and the development of the graphic image have been presented. Also, the information on sponsorship management and the next milestones in the congress organization calendar has been updated.
Finally, “Catalonia country of archives, documents that make Europe” has been presented, a project that will be carried out around the International Congress of Archives Barcelona 2025 and that will show the European vocation of Catalonia’s archives.
